Supported through a diverse funding base, including the State of Oregon Department of Justice, Victims of Crime Act, Violence Against Women Act, and Multnomah County, the RIFS program offers bilingual/bicultural case management, crisis intervention, interpretation and client advocacy, access to emergency and support services, client assistance funds, transportation and emergency rental assistance, community outreach and education, support groups and classes to immigrant and refugee domestic violence victims facing cultural and linguistic barriers to mainstream support services.  RIFS works with over 120 victims annually; 95 % of whom exit the project successfully and are living independently and are no longer with their abuser.
